First I want to introduce you to some general summary guides of tips on sustainable or green living gathered from the References listed in last page of the guides for a school project. I am not endorsing the websites in the guides, just reporting that they are available, and the guides are for personal use only.
As mentioned in the other tabs of this website, you can reuse items by donating, giving away or selling items that you no longer need, buying used items, reusable items (like refillable pens or water bottles) or items in bulk, and repairing, borrowing, renting or sharing items.
The other way to reuse something is to practice repurposing, creative reuse, and upcycling. This can be a complicated engineering project or an easy, low-cost fun activity for your family!
Completing reuse projects saves money, allows you to unleash your creativity and have fun, and sets a great example for others to follow!
Reuse is to use something again and creative reuse or repurposing is the process of taking unwanted items and giving them a new life by transforming them into pieces of art, home decoration or other useful items.Upcycling has a similar meaning, which is to reuse discarded objects or materials in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value.
Look for ideas by searching Pinterest or Google using reuse, repurpose or upcycling as search words. If you have a certain interest or material in mind combine it, example upcycling furniture ideas or toilet paper roll reuse. Look for websites, pictures/images, and videos.
